This one’s for all my photographer friends! I get asked quite frequently what equipment is needed when jumping into the world of wedding photography.
So when the website Rock The Shot asked for an article submission from me, I was happy to send this one along! It’s a little explanation of what basic equipment you’d need if you were to become a wedding photographer — it’s definitely a whole lot different than just shooting portraits! And these are, of course, only suggestions. Some photographers need more, some less, but this is a good explanation of why wedding photography requires some more professional equipment.
If you’re into photography and potentially making a business out of it, I encourage you to become a member of Rock The Shot — it’s a great little community where you can ask specific questions to mentor photographers, have your work critiqued, talk about posing, photography styles, printing, Photoshop… you name it! Everyone is so helpful and positive — I love hearing about new photographers starting up a business with fresh new ideas and we have a lot of fun chatting.
