The W Family: Brantford Train Station Photography

This session was such a relief to do!  Alisha and I had been trying for so long to get together for this but every time we’d schedule something on the calendar, Mother Nature wouldn’t cooperate, or someone needed to reschedule!  So when we finally did get together, it was amazing that we had such beautiful sunset light to work with around Brantford.  We started at Apps Mill and finished up the session at the Brantford Via Train Station.  And can I just say how amazingly adorable their daughter is?!  Such a well behaved and sweet toddler!  I could just gobble her up!

Carla & Tony: Kitchener Waterloo Wedding Photography

It feels like forever since I blogged about a wedding… and I’m so excited to share this one with you.  Carla & Tony are such a fun couple and I think it shows in their wedding photos!  I love, LOVE the locations they chose — the more variety in shooting spaces the better!  Carla and her bridesmaids got ready at their house and I immediately fell in love with her yellow & orange colour theme:

After some detail shots with the girls I headed off to Victoria Gardens in Waterloo to meet up with the guys.  I think they were a little excited!  CT-066-PFCT-081

They also made some new friends at a barbecue in the park…!

Soon Carla arrived and Tony had his first look at his gorgeous bride!  They decided to get all their photos done before the ceremony.  I love how the guys didn’t wear jackets — on such a hot day I bet that was a welcome choice!CT-108-PFCT-109-PF

Instead of flower bouquets, Carla & her bridesmaids all had paper parasols, which worked nicely to keep the hot sun off their faces!CT-167CT-171CT-201-PFCT-191-PFCT-204CT-228CT-232-PFCT-239-PF

Next, the whole bridal party headed just around the corner to the Huether Hotel to play a few games of pool & enjoy some beverages…CT-245CT-253-PFCT-262-PFCT-275-PF

Before long it was time to head to the ceremony & reception site at Three Bridges Banquet Hall in St. Jacobs.  The guys rolled up their sleeves in the sunshine & heat.  That is a great tip; if you’re planning a summer outdoor wedding, consider losing the jackets, guys!  Such a romantic ceremony with Carla & Tony reading their personalized vows.CT-296CT-322CT-325CT-345CT-358CT-365CT-366CT-388

Cocktail hour was full of plenty of smiles…CT-400

One of Carla & Tony’s friends designed all of the cards & seating charts for the event.  All the tables were named after different shades of yellow & orange, keeping with Carla’s theme.CT-431CT-435CT-441

I love sneaking out clients for a few minutes during the reception to make use of the yummy sunset lighting!CT-565-PFCT-569-PFCT-582-PF

Speeches & dinner were A-MA-ZING!CT-589CT-603CT-613CT-617

They even brought in Cold Stone Creamery to the reception to serve up an ice cream dessert bar for their guests!  Yum!CT-640CT-671

My day ended with Carla & Tony treating everyone to a wonderfully choreographed dance.  Such a perfect day!  CT-685

I’m so excited to be shooting a Trash The Dress session with Carla next month.  Her dress is stunning and we don’t want to destroy it but we’re going to go out and take some pretty incredible shots in some unusual locations just so she can wear this amazing gown again.  Can’t wait!  Congratulations Tony & Carla — you are an amazing couple and it was a ton of fun working with you on your wedding day!
