I just wanted to share a couple of favorites from Elizabeth’s first photo session that I’m playing around with today. Oh, if they’d only stay so peaceful for a longer time… 😉
Here’s another image in my series of “Before & After” retouching where again, a little bit of skin retouching & colour work made a world of difference. She was already a gorgeous bride to begin with (and really; aren’t they all?) so I just cleaned up some of her stray hairs and smoothed out some of her skin under her eyes. Then I warmed up the colours a little bit to give them some more rosey cheeks! Let me know what you think!
As you know, I’ve been going through old weddings & photo sessions from 2011, and migrating the old blog posts over to this new site. When I came by Krista & Jordan’s wedding photos, I had to smile; giggle even. I remember their wedding as being so. full. of. laughs! Everyone was roaring with laughter all day long! Now that’s how you can tell people are having a great time. The wedding ceremony took place on a hill overlooking the lake at Bluffers Park Marina in Toronto on a very bright, clear sunny day in August. Occasionally a sailboat would quietly drift by – so romantic! Then the guests enjoyed the marina’s restaurant for a fantastic reception, filled with just the right amount of personal touches by Krista & Jordan. What a fabulous day!
I’m so excited to be shooting Krista’s cousin’s wedding this coming September — if it’s anything as fun & exciting as this one was, we’re in for a treat!
The day began at Krista’s mom’s house, where her brother helped her get into her gown. And check out those incredible shoes – they were a gift! Love!
When I got to the marina, Jordan and the guys were just relaxing and making sure all the final details were taken care of.
Guests started to arrive, and before you knew it, the ceremony was beginning! How clever is this idea for a ring-bearer?!
We had plenty of amazing shooting locations all around the marina – the sailboats are such a lovely backdrop for such a good looking couple, don’t you think?
Krista & Jordan took dance lessons before their wedding, and even though they were so nervous about showing off what they’d learned, I think they did an incredible job! Look at those giggles, even in the crowd!
Oh my goodness what an amazing day they had. Thank you so much, Krista & Jordan, for allowing me to be a part of such a fun event! I can’t wait to see you and your family again this fall for your cousin’s wedding! Cheers! ~ Carolyn.
