Last week I gave you a little sneak peek of this incredibly fun couple, Stephanie & Paul. I got to know them a couple years ago when Stephanie’s sister Vanessa was married, so it was great to see their families again for this special occasion! Our day started off at the Waterfront Hotel in Burlington, where the guys were getting ready on the fifth floor. As usual, the guys’ “Getting Ready” photos usually involves some tasty beverages and a whole lot of laughs!
Then it was soon time to head up to the sixth floor where the girls were getting their makeup done and putting on their gorgeous dresses!
I loved that Stephanie’s “Something Old” was her sister’s wedding shoes — it was nice to see them again!
Soon we headed down to the lake where Paul was waiting to see Stephanie for the first time. Don’t you love his look in the 3rd picture here, as though his eyes are saying “Look at YOU!”
Soon it was time to round up everyone and head to the Royal Botanical Gardens. Stephanie & Paul wanted to get all of their formal family photos out of the way before the ceremony began. The greenhouses there are wonderful for spring weddings when you aren’t sure what the weather will be doing, and we were grateful to avoid the cold rain outdoors for a little while.
Next, we headed to Geraldo’s at LaSalle Park in Burlington. Stephanie & Paul decided that they still wanted to try for their ceremony on the outdoor verandah, so we all bundled up and got ready! I think the classical guitar player wishes he’d brought some gloves!
But the ceremony was great. Everyone was laughing and smiling, despite the temperature. I just love how much Stephanie & Paul laugh and smile when they’re around each other!
While everyone else went upstairs for the reception to begin, Paul, Stephanie & I snuck away to Paul’s favorite pub so that the bride could pour her groom’s first beer from the tap… it’s tradition! I think Paul & Steph wanted to relax & enjoy themselves, so I LOVE that they took time to sneak away from the crowd for a little while!
We were laughing so hard at Paul’s antics… he’s one funny guy!
But then it was time to re-join the reception for dinner. I grabbed this shot of the couple’s wedding rings on their place cards before leaving for the night.
Thanks Stephanie & Paul for an incredible day! You guys are such a fun couple and I’m so glad I could share a part of your day!
